- The Independent Investigative Commission has
officially completed its work for the University of Colorado Board of
Regents, and the Commission was disbanded on May 19, 2004.
Thereby, the Independent Investigative Commission office is no longer
in service.
- The Independent Investigative Commission was
created by the University of Colorado??™s Board of Regents on February
6, 2004. The Commission??™s original seven members were appointed
February 16, 2004, with an eighth member added on March 4, 2004. The
panel acts independently and autonomously from the Board of Regents
and the University President??™s Office.
- The Commission??™s primary mission is to
determine whether alcohol, drugs and sex have been used as recruiting
tools within the University??™s Athletic Department. The Board of
Regents also charged the Commission with examining overall policies
and programs regarding sex, drugs and alcohol on the Boulder campus,
including within the athletic program, and whether those policies and
programs are being implemented.
- Please note that this website will be available
for viewing until mid-March 2005.
